The Zeigler Family

Chris and I absolutely loved hanging out with this sweet family a few weeks ago! I have to admit, I was a little nervous wondering how I was going to get two teenage boys to have “fun” at a photo shoot, but let me just tell you how incredibly impressed I was with Jake and Clay! They did an outstanding job of doing everything I asked and more!

And let’s just talk about Robin for a minute…is she not one beautiful Momma?! John is seriously one blessed man! Thank you both for entrusting me with the incredible honor of capturing your family’s sweet memories!

The Harper Family

I would like to introduce you all to Lee, Laura Ashley, and Holland Grace. They are our small group leaders and very dear friends of ours, and we are going to miss them greatly! You see, Lee and Laura Ashley have answered the call to international missions. This summer they will give away most of their belongings and move to an amazing place called London, with only suitcases in hand, to pour their lives into the work of Christ. They will be working with immigrants and immersing themselves in another language that they will need to learn to be fully equipped to minister to these immigrants who find themselves in a new country.

When Laura Ashley asked me to do a session with their sweet family, I was so excited. She and I both knew we wanted the photos to be super special, since they would be their last ones before they move. So in lieu of going to London, Laura Ashley had the great idea of having a tea party! I was in love the second she told me her ideas. We did the session all over the gorgeous campus of Southeastern Seminary where God birthed in them a heart for missions. We went inside Binkley Chapel, stopped at the beautiful fountain Lee proposed to Laura Ashley at, and ended with a fun tea party…hats and all! The sweet little dress, sweater, and petticoat Holland Grace is wearing were all Laura Ashley’s when she was a little girl, which I think is absolutely precious and so special! We adore this beautiful family, and we will always cherish their friendship in our lives. Please pray for the Harpers as they give of their lives to impact God’s Kingdom.

My Two Favorite Lovebirds

There is not a post I could write that could adequately express how I feel about these two people right here. The two people I have the privilege of calling my Momma and Daddy. They are an amazing couple who love the Lord above anything else. They are two of the most genuine, rock solid, and encouraging people you will ever meet. What you see is what you get with them….the good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly. Although they are imperfect and flawed individuals just as we all are, their example of a godly marriage will always be indispensable to me. They have shown me what a biblical marriage built on the foundation of Christ looks like, and I am eternally grateful. They will be celebrating their 25th anniversary this August against all odds of what statistics would say having a baby(me) and getting married at 17. Our God is bigger than statistics though, and He is ABLE to do far more than we could ever think or imagine. It doesn’t hurt that they are absolutely gorgeous too, right?!;) Thank you, Daddy, for always loving and cherishing Momma like you do. And, Momma, thank you for showing and teaching me how to always honor and respect my Christopher through your great example. Y’all are the epitome of LOVE….all because of Jesus:)

Jeremy, The Corpsman

So, imagine with me for a minute it being 30 degrees and winds of 25 mph, and it’s ONLY 30 minutes before Jeremy’s recruiting officer will be there to pick him up to take him to boot camp. Just imagine the chaos when I say it was absolutely freezing and very rushed, BUT we made it happen. Why? Because we are family, and that is what family does:). It was very important to my beautiful mother-in-law that we snap a few photos before Jeremy’s departure, and I wanted to make sure that happened for her, no matter what. We had great plans on having a full session the afternoon before, but weather did not permit us to. This is not my best work by a long shot, but they are memories that we will ALWAYS have to treasure:). We are all so extremely proud of Jeremy and how he is serving our country. He is training to be a Navy Corpsman, and will graduate next week from his first bootcamp. We are so blessed by the man Jeremy has become. The best is yet to come!!

Kas + Derrick

I’m so glad you stopped by because I have an absolutely gorgeous couple I’m dying for you to meet! Kas and Derrick are some of my newest clients and friends. I can’t tell you how much I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know them. They have been dating for about 8 years now, and they are finally tying the knot this September! To say Kas is beyond thrilled and excited is a huge understatement! I know their wedding is going to be absolutely beautiful!
